Play a picture book
Based on a picture book, Sjors & Ruud theatre makers create a crazy performance on location. First, the picture book is read out loud, so that everyone knows the story. Then, the players create the performance together with the children and perform for the parents. The picture book is chosen based on the location, the event or the occasion.

The performance is created together with the audience. The input and fantasy of the children is used to create a slightly different performance each time. With this, the audience creates and plays along in this performance by Sjors & Ruud.

Family performance, for everyone aged 4 and up.

Conditions/technique.
Stage size depends on the number of attendees, minimum 4 x 2 meters (W x D). Flexible for use in all types of spaces.
Electricity required for speaker with laptop connection – we will bring this with us.
Microphones with sound system: These are required for performances with more than 60 attendees and/or in noisy venues. Cost: €120.

For the 10th anniversary of the VoorleesExpress Lek & IJssel, Sjors and Ruud performed their interactive show "Playing a Picture Book" at our four main locations. And interactive it was! After reading the picture book aloud in a fun and interactive way, the children were invited on stage to act it out. The children waddled around like ducks, stomped like elephants, and crawled like turtles. This made the performance enjoyable for both children and adults. Sjors and Ruud were perfectly attuned to the audience and knew exactly what to do to keep them captivated. Highly recommended!
